The New York Red Bulls can clinch the final playoff spot tonight with a win over the Philadelphia Union. There are a few other ways, which are posted below, but their best way in is to get the three points tonight.

Tonight the Red Bulls will be without captain, Thierry Henry. The last time these two meet in Philadelphia, Roger Torres had the lone goal in the 68th minute when Tim Ream gave the ball away to Union striker Danny Mwanga in his own half.

This will be my third trip to Red Bull Arena in the last two weeks. I got to see the Red Bull beat the La Galaxy 2-0 in stunning fashion and sadly watch the USMNT lose to Ecuador 0-1.

Other Scenarios to make the playoffs:

New York Red Bulls clinch a place in the MLS Cup Playoffs IF

they defeat Philadelphia Union

OR

they tie Philadelphia Union AND

Portland Timbers win AND tie in their two games

OR

they lose to Philadelphia Union AND

Portland Timbers lose at least one game AND

D.C. United fail to win either game AND

Chicago Fire fail to win
