Thierry Henry signs with Red Bull

The rumors are OVER, it is now official Thierry Henry has signed with the New York Red bulls!!
Red bull are currently in 2nd place in the East with 26 points, trailing Columbus Crew by 2. The next game will be against the Crew on July 17th. Henry is expected ot make his debut at home on July 22nd vs Tottenham.
David Villa winning goal vs Portugal

David Villa scores in the 63′ to give Spain a 1-0 lead in the Round of 16. That would be the only goal of the game, eliminating Portugal from the 2010 World Cup.
USA vs France, China vs Puerto Rico at the Garden

USA basketball will take on France August 15th at Madison Square Garden. Right after that China will take on Puerto Rico. Tickets go on sale June 30th and noon EST and will be starting at $15.
The doubleheader is part of the first-ever World Basketball Festival, a four-day celebration of the game’s performance and culture hosted by NIKE Inc. and USA Basketball in New York City. The festival tips off on Aug. 12 in Times Square with a special showcase featuring the USA Basketball Men’s National Team and moves uptown to Harlem’slegendary Rucker Park basketball courts on Aug. 13 and 14.
In addition to the game against France at Madison Square Garden, the USA Basketball Men’s National Team will play three world basketball powers in exhibition games, or “friendlies,” in preparation for the 2010 FIBA World Championship. In advance of that tournament, the Americans will meet Lithuania on Aug. 21 and Spain on Aug. 22 in Madrid, Spain, and play Greece in Athens on Aug. 25. The World Championship will take place Aug. 28-Sept. 12 in Turkey.

The opening matches for Group C are now complete. Slovenia was able to get a 1-0 win over Algeria and the highly anticipated match between USA and England resulted in a draw. The action gets back underway this Friday when USA takes on Slovenia, and England will play Algeria right after.
