All about StarCraft II
Aug 6th
I have not written a blog post in a while and the reason is StarCraft II. I was not going to get the game right away, but I ended up getting it the day it came out and have been playing non stop.
I never really played StarCraft only here and there at cyber cafe’s when I was not playing counter-strike. I use to play WC3 a lot, but was never really that good. I picked up on SC2 really fast. To me it is almost like playing WC3 just units and structures are called different names. Mostly I have been playing terran, but recently swtiched over to Protoss. I did the same exact thing in WC3 started Orc then switched to Night Elf.
I am really pumped up to go to MLG Raleigh. MLG’s are always a lot of fun. MLG has added SC2 to the pro circuit, so when I have free time and am not covering coL.WoW or coL.Tekken I will definitely be watching SC2. I would usually just go back to the hotel room and rest, but I want to learn a lot more about the game while I am there.
R.I.P Un-named squirrel
Jul 29th
Let me start off by saying I really HATE squirrels, they are just annoying to me.
So today while I was working I was driving and one decided to run under my car like they always do. Except this time I felt a bump and I knew I had hit the little f***. When I dropped the food off and turned back around I indeed did hit and kill him. I believe it was a headshot.
I actually felt really bad for the little dude, I had a weird feeling because I knew I had killed it. So to the unnamed squirrel RIP.
Burnt out my clutch
Jul 25th
It’s Friday night around one in the morning. I went to the movies to see Inception with my cousin and a friend. Movie was pretty good, but I was texting a lot in the beginning so I got a little confused. Me and my cousin get in the car and we were going to pick up our two friends at the bar. Prior to that night I was having a few problems with my clutch and I just felt it was going to give way really soon. My dumb ass decides to burn rubber the whole way out of the parking garage, and yup… I burnt it out. I still managed to drive and go pick them up and the next morning I took the car to get a new clutch.
The last two weeks have just been so expensive, from being in the hospital to burning out my clutch. Then when I go to pick my car up they say I need four new brake pads… go figure. Honda wanted $560. So I made a few phone calls and found out Midas would do all four for $280 AND I would get a lifetime warranty on brake pads. It is pretty safe to say who I decided to go with.
If you really knew me
Jul 21st
Last night I was just laying in bed flipping through the channels and on MTV I saw their new show, If you really knew me. I ended up watching the whole episode then went online and read up about the show. From reading about the cast to reading all the comments under the videos about different people and if you really knew about them. It was really interesting to see the different challenges people face and the same exact ones that I struggle with too.
“Challenge Day” was very interesting and just watching it made me open my eyes a lot about my life. I have always believed being honest and truthful is the best way to go. Just get out there and talk about your problems with the people you have them with. It only helps them. I have become a fan of this show and will continue to watch the first season to see how certain people handle their problems. I really hope to learn something that can help me deal with the problems I have.
If you really knew me…. you would know that although I always appear to be happy living the life I do, but in reality I am not happy at all.
Here is the trailer for the show.
Day off… so LETS CLEAN
Jul 20th
Tuesday is my one full day off of work so today I tried to sleep in, but I was up at 9AM….. Didn’t really do much in the morning went to my old school to visit some people and get lunch. When I got home I snapped into a cleaning mode. I decided to clean my car, desk and the inside of my computer. Took little over and hour to do it all.
Now I have no idea what to do as it is only 3:45…. I have a few posts I want to work on, but I am just kind of lazy and tired now.
What’s been happening
Jul 6th
There has not been really much for me to write about lately, hence why there have just been posts with pictures or videos. For me, I have been working a lot and just trying to stay busy. This weekend softball playoffs start and my team is the number two seed after we had a horrible ending to the season dropping three games and the number one seed.
In my spare time I have been back playing Day of Defeat a lot. If anyone wants to play I only play on badasswankers.com server. Also, I finally got back on xbox and played some FIFA. I still have to go get FIFA World Cup, but I am lazy because I know in probably a day or two I will be bored of xbox again. Ford2 is my gamertag if anyone wants to add me.
What is Friendship
Jun 15th
What is friendship? According to the dictionary it means: the state of being a friend; association as friends: to value a person’s friendship. For myself, I think friendship is being there for a friend when they need it most. Now, that could be congratulating them when they do something good, buying them lunch, or picking them up when they are down. There are no set rules for a friendship, just that you should be there for the people that mean the most to you.
Many times in life, especially at a young age you will go through rough times with your best friends. I, have many personal experiences where friendships have gone bad, but in the end we came back stronger then ever and are still growing that relationship today. The people that mean the most to you in life will never leave, you will always find a way back into his or her life.
Always remember one thing in life, do not let your closest friends walk away, because in the end they are the ones that will go through thick or thin to be there for you.
“Realize a friendship without truth isn’t a true friendship.” Proverbs 27:6
Pixar – Up
Jan 1st
Let me start by saying that Pixar has done it again! That is right, another amazing movie by Pixar. From the creativity, plot, editing and everything else, it is perfect. I am so glad that I was able to have some free time to go see this on it’s release date. I went to an 8:20 showing and the theater was absolutely packed!
At age 78, Carl, gets a new lease on life that fills him with new faith. No matter how old you get never give up on your dream. We see this when Carl decides to take off to Paradise Falls. Why we should never give up on dreams? We should never give up on dreams, because anything is possible.
Dreams are the touchstones of our character. Henry David Thoreau
Another important thing in life, especially in this time of bad economic status, is to cherish what you have. To not want more and better things is hard, but nothing is wrong with wanting stuff. It is not wrong to want something because that is your dream and anything is possible. We have to appreciate what we have and treat it with care. There are so many people who have absolutely nothing and would die to have just a small portion of what we do. It is the stuff that you work hard for that should mean a great deal to you.
Cherish your visions and your dreams, as they are the children of your soul; the blueprints of your ultimate achievements. Napolean Hill
In up, we meet a dog, named Doug. Doug is a true outcast from his group. All Doug wants is to be included. We know that in life some people will accept you, others will scold and make fun of you. But no matter what, there is some where for you to be accepted. What we need to understand is there is always somewhere and someone who will accept us. Just because you are turned down with one person or at one place, does not mean everyone will be like that. The key to this really is to never say never and not to quit. There is a right someone and place for every single person on this Earth, you just need to find it.
Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind. Dr Seuss
Another great thing about up is it shows many lessons in life. Carl Fredricksen tries to escape from everyone and go to Paradise Falls. To his surprise, Russel, the Wilderness Scout is joining him on the journey. What we see here is that it is impossible to escape everyone. Why is that you ask? It is because everyone is accepted and no one deserves to be alone. The movie is very colorful too, it shows us the sweetness of life. In today’s world we forget how truly beautiful life is and pixar wants to remind us of that.
Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up. Thomas Edison
