What 2009 means to me

2009 is a big year for myself. It is the year of my high school graduation, year of me heading of to college. Things will get rough but only to get better. I have only applied to one college, now many people would say that is the dumb thing to do cause what if you don’t get in. I am really hoping to just get into the one school I want to go to and leave it at that. I mean who wants to pay all these application fees and mine was free!

For me, 2009 is the year that closes the first big chapter of the book but then quickly starts the next one. I feel like I sit back more and look at the last few years of my life. Always saying what could I have done differently and I can never find anything. Everyone makes mistakes but to me nothing needs to be changed. Happy New Year everyone and let 2009 be your year!

December 2008 Earnings

I have finally done it! Yes, my blog has had it’s first month of income. It is very small but everyone needs to start somewhere. The month of December is very slow month for the internet, so hopefully I can really step it up in January.

My earnings came from MarketLeverage. For the month of December I made $42.65. Like, I said it is really low but for me it is a start to something great. That $42.65 will cover a few of my costs for the month of January basically all for VisualEffect.

If anyone was following I was in 3rd place on TylerCruz’s marketing challenge in route to win a $125 gift card but in the last week I got beat.

Goals for 2009

Figured it would be time for me to post my goals for 2009. I could sit here and type that I want to make this amount of money, have this many rss subscribers and how I plan on making all this money but I’m not going too. I am a new blogger struggling every day just in hope to come on and see that 1 comment, to know someone is reading and something in that post made them comment.

MY GOAL!!
My ultimate for this blog and 2009 is to establish a decent blog. I am not trying to hit the 8-run-homer to win game 7 of the World Series, I am looking to get that single to win the season opener in the new stadium. The New York Yankees have a brand new stadium this year and I can bet you all Derek Jeter wants to do when he steps in that box for the first time is hit a line drive up the middle and reach first base. For me I am entering a whole new blogging world and I just want to start off on the right foot.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!!! Really can’t believe Christmas came this fast. I would like to wish everyone a very happy, safe, and fun holiday this year. Christmas is a time to spend with family and loved ones, I hope everyone got or gets what they had asked for.

For myself, I got a brand new ipod shuffle, clothes and some other little gifts. I wish I was able to give away stuff this year but lets be honest this blog is still new and doesn’t have much readers if any. So for those of you who do, stay tuned as 2009 approaches, Scott-Ford.com will be taking off.

The first snow storm

Woke up this morning and there …. was no snow. That was expected but an hour later it started snowing and it hasn’t stopped yet, in fact it is suppose to keep going till later tonight. The news is saying 6-10 inches. It got me off school today but has kept me locked up in my house. The driving conditions are not good and I really wanna go to the mall to finish up my Christmas shopping. Here a two pictures taken earlier in the day when it wasn’t that bad. I will go take more pictures later when I clean the cars off again.

An Idea

Hello everyone, so for the last few days I have been trying to figure out something new to add to the site. I am new to blogging, totally new at it. Sometimes I struggle to figure out what to write, in fact I have changed my blogs “topic” so many damn times now. Of course I would love to write a post everyday about how to make money like the top bloggers do and pocket thousands each month. But honestly that won’t happen for a long time even if it does. Each day in life you do learn something new. Today, I learned, I just need to be me, the same person I am in real life and imply that person to the blog. Not to try to be a fake blogger and say how to make money……. I don’t even really know how. So back to my idea lol. I live in New Jersey, the Northern part close to the NY Border. I am thinking of adding a live webcam to the site but not showing me, I mean who would wanna see that haha. It is the Winter months now and I am planing on setting up a webcam in my window running 24/7. We are getting a decent snow storm tonight or at least that is what they say, so I want to bring everyone the experience of snow, who don’t get any where they live. My webcam is broken so I will be buying a new one real soon.

Also one thing I want to point out is I love feedback good or bad. If you think my writing sucks, say it straight up, it’s only going to make me better. I know my writing is weak but I do try daily to improve my grammar and all that stuff.

I did not know we were going to get this much and I think we got an inch or two. But now it is raining and this will all be ice in the morning, FUN!…. Anyone that is still up and reading get ready for a messy commute in the morning.
As of right now I am in the dead zone should be getting a little more snow soon then here comes the RAIN.
